or those looking to venture a little further afield, Cheltenham is just 15 minutes away. Known for its Regency grandeur, elegant shopping streets and lively cultural scene, the town plays host to everything from prestigious horse racing meetings to celebrated literature and jazz festivals throughout the year.

Nearby Cirencester, often referred to as the Capital of the Cotswolds, offers a rich blend of Roman history, independent boutiques, cosy cafés and beautiful green spaces, including the renowned Corinium Museum and Cirencester Park.

dining out

rom cosy village pubs to destination dining, the Cotswolds offers something for every occasion. Our favourite local spots include The Woolpack in the Slad Valley, The Painswick, The Bell at Sapperton, The Green Dragon in Elkstone and The Village Pub in Barnsley.

For a more elevated dining experience, we recommend Lardon at Elkstone Studios, Juliet in Stroud or the restaurant at Cowley Manor Experimental, both celebrated for their seasonal menus and distinctive settings
